SUPPORT BVSJ IN THEIR ONGOING EFFORTS AND THEIR RESPONSE TO COVID-19
The Veteran Administration has failed the veteran community with an adequate response to COVID-19. The VA has reported only a small number of Veteran deaths from COVID 19. However, the number of Veteran deaths that has been reported by the Veteran Administration is not accurate account of how COVID 19 has impacted the veteran community. Local jurisdictions only reported the veterans that died in a Veteran Supportive and or Conditional living environment. Example the State of New York cannot provide data on how many veterans died that lived within the diverse communities of the state of New York. The only data New State Department of Health Epidemiology Department has only data reported from Veteran Nursing Facilities. BVSJ also know that 28 states in the US did not even collect the data on veterans infections and or deaths.
BVSJ is committed to holding the Veteran Administration and the Unites States Government accountable. BVSJ will begin a social media campaign that will highlight the unjust treatment and outcomes Veterans has received as a response to COVID 19
