“We are angry,
we are upset, we are sad and we look
around for comfort but we don’t
find any. We have to look to ourselves
because the last frontier of truth and
hope in this country is the people
themselves.”
– Harry Belafonte
We have heard the leaders in the movement and the numerous calls-to-action from Black Americans: ending racism is a White and non-Black POC issue. With that in mind, a group of us created TAKE A KNEE | TAKE A STAND to reach a primarily White and non-Black POC audience who want to take daily, tangible actions to end racism and promote Black voices, causes, and missions for equality.
We provide our audience with a portal to resources to educate, donate, and amplify the work of established large and grassroots organizations leading the movement to end racism and stop the mass incarceration and murder of Black Americans. And to bring users past the moment and into the movement, our platform will provide users with daily/weekly accountability reminders, encouraging support on a variety of organizations and efforts committed to this long-term struggle.
We are here for the movement, not the moment; we strive to get this right, and we commit to the fight. If you are an organization or an author interested in being added to the portal, please email takeakneetakeastand@gmail.com.
